It took about 10 secs for the pressure to drop - this was with the air pressure regulator set to maximum which is much higher than would normally be used. I have found using the new compressor a bit strange, after 30 years of the old compressor clanking away under the bench drowning out the radio etc, it seems wierd to pick up the airbrush and start spraying with no sound.This really depends on how much noise is a problem for you, but getting a compressor that does not make as much noise as a jet engine is a good idea for most people.
