J’aurais aimé que la fin nous en dise plus sur le destin de nos héros, mais en même temps, je crois que j’aurais pas aimé en savoir trop non plus (LA RELOUUUE). Ivers similarly commented that the book explained why Truss's premiership ended so quickly, writing that " Out of the Blue 's strength is in showing the inevitability of its outcome (impressive, considering that most of it was written before said outcome)". Bronnie is so lovely with the boys and we also felt that having a man enthusing about the books set a great example. I thought the ending was nicely open, with a final scene that reminded me very much of a romcom movie’s dramatic moment (again, on theme for filmmaker Sean), but my friend found it too open, to the point they saw it as a break up.

Helen Mitsios is to be congratulated on having compiled a highly readable and often entertaining miscellany of writing from a European literary culture that is still not as well known to the rest of the world as it ought to be. Two days later, The Guardian reported HarperCollins's intention to publish Out of the Blue: The Inside Story of Liz Truss and Her Astonishing Rise to Power, to be written by Harry Cole, the politics editor at The Sun, and James Heale, the diary editor at The Spectator, with a planned publication date of 8 December. But it’s perhaps significant too that she had got away with so much in the past, leading to an overconfidence about her ability to wing it – as she did even in the early days of her leadership campaign.

Set against the backdrop of the frenzied Edinburgh festival, Out of the Blue tackles questions of grief and guilt and fear over who we really are. Helping Sean win back his ex is a whole lot easier- and quicker- than finding a burning building to pull someone out of, so why not? Like, I get *why* Sean has to be a swimmer - so that his "oneness" with the water can help Ross see him as more than just a "self-centered narcissistic blowhole.

I've been having phantom fin movement this whole time, my whole body craving the sea, and those cravings just get stronger and stronger every time I get out of the bath. They’ve polluted the planet so much that there’s a floating island of trash that’s literally the size of a country. Crest is not excited to be on their Journey: the month-long sojourn on land all teen merfolk must undergo. There's also the *myriad* of questions I have about the mythology of this story, but I won't bring them up because it seems like the mythology wasn't the part Jason June was interested in exploring or constructing. The message is perfectly pitched for the very young and delivered in a story that quickly moves from sadness to real joy. They had difficult choices to make throughout the novel, but watching them work themself out was so realistic while also being fun to read – I loved it. I am a strong advocate against the cheating trope, and while this book definitely didn’t contain that, it did have some cheating sections that frustrated and irritated me.

Honouring this legacy, Blue Book 2023: Out of the Blue—designed by Chief Artistic Officer Nathalie Verdeille—both perpetuates and reinvents the aquatic worlds that he dreamt up.Narrated throughout by teenagers words and stories, the book talks openly about the real feelings they may struggle with when someone important in their life dies. Also a poet, he has published nine poetry collections, written four opera librettos and lyrics for various artists. Crest/Ross is the former mer who hates human and views them as "self-centered, narcissistic blowholes" and spends the first half of the book whining about being on land.
