Tom Daley has been making a name for himself at the Tokyo Olympic Games on and off the diving board. There were just all the emotions that you feel, from the high of finally finding out that we had won the Olympic medal. Featuring size inclusive garments, covetable gifts, chic homeware and cosy accessories, Tom offers helpful tips and tricks to support even the most tentative of beginners. The father of one said: “There are loads of things I’m doing to keep myself going, like yoga and visualisation, but I’ve also taken up knitting, which could be my secret weapon.

Honestly, it was - when I first started knitting, I had no idea of the impact that it was going to have.Once I did come back to it, and decided I was going to do it, it was like full power [*claps*] I was ready to keep going. Much of Daley’s anxiety was a result of being advised by some of his inner circle against coming out publicly. Every project I did, I learned a new skill and then I taught myself how to crochet as well and then I started designing and learning how to be able to actually design something from a drawing,” Daley says. Although this is Tom’s debut craft book, he published a memoir in 2021, titled Coming Up for Air, which detailed his early sporting career and experience of publicly coming out as gay.

Now Tom has created thirty original projects for this book, sharing his joy of knitting and crocheting as a calming and creative outlet alongside his charming, witty personality. Though Daley’s Olympic future remains up in the air, there's one thing he's sure of and that’s the person he’d love to knit for. With its fresh, bright design and clear-cut know-how, this clever little book provides all the expert advice and encouragement you need to get growing.

So - and it's - and that's very - yes, it's very weird and hard to picture, but I just love the fact that you can just be totally creative with it. Tom is one of the kindest, most inspirational and talented people we know and a complete pleasure to work with.

Life is so fleeting, and I just don’t necessarily have time to be mad at people and hold on to grudges. DALEY: You know, the easiest thing to make and the best place to start is with, like, a scarf because, you know, you're going to be going in a straight line. And how, exactly, does a child that age psych themselves up to launch off a board several times their size?Remarkable Treks is a compendium of exhilarating walks from around the planet – some lasting weeks, some lasting just a few days, but all of them set against spectacular backdrops.

His new favorite hobby, which he picked up during the Covid lockdown, combined with his gold medal performance, won him a new legion of fans. Tom Daley’s poolside knitting at the Olympics captured our hearts last year and we’ll soon be able to join him in his wonderland of wool with the help of his new guidebook. After Beijing] was the first time I realised people were watching everything I did, even when I was out and about and not necessarily in the media. In a video posted to his Made With Love by Tom Daley official Instagram profile, the athlete said he hoped the kits would encourage people to take up the hobby.Daley said he's had his own share of challenges including losing his father in 2011, the year prior to the 2012 Olympics in London. DALEY: So I've been making all kinds of things, actually, and I'm trying to make, like, a little bit more out-there, editorial things.
