Specially created to celebrate the opening of our new venue, Free Your Mind is a journey into The Matrix through dance and immersive design. As our official opening show, this never-seen-before production stretches across the building’s ultra-flexible spaces.

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is a completely new type of experience,” said Ann Morrow Johnson, executive producer and creative director at Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI). “You’re going to live onboard a starcruiser, and you can get wrapped up in the larger Star Wars story. For the first time, we’re going to invite guests to become the hero of their own Star Wars adventure. They will live aboard a starship for two days and two nights.”Councillor Janet Campbell, deputy cabinet member for families, health and social care, “I am pleased that we have the opportunity to use the arts in Croydon to explore these powerful issues surrounding mental health and wellbeing. Around one in six adults experiences a common mental health problem at any one time. A deluge of life issues, or simply one incident like feeling lonely or isolated, bereavement or unemployment can negatively impact on a person’s mental wellbeing. In 1999, we were offered a simple choice: red pill or blue pill? Blissful ignorance in a simulated world or a chance to jump down the rabbit hole into the unknown. The Matrixmade us question reality. What is human after all? Who’s really in control? Big Mind’s past productions include Going Slightly Mad, an unflinching autobiographical play about the mental health services in the United Kingdom. The show’s national tour and run at the Edinburgh Fringe took place from July to August of 2019. Our first foray into digital theatre was a production of Vaclav Havel’s absurdist classic The Garden Party which streamed live in July of 2020. The company’s first production, Mind-Full (2017), was a piece of verbatim theatre created by company founder Katrina Woolley on the topic of student mental health.

Nearly 25 years later and we’re no closer to an answer – with big tech, social media and the advance of AI impacting our lives in a million different ways. It’s from this ever-shifting landscape that Free Your Mindwas born. Despite the promise of the metaverse, I hope, and am convinced that, the real world will always be the most interesting place that we operate,” Tom Lionetti-Maguire, Little Lion Entertainment founder and CEO, told blooloop. “Taking the world of video games, taking the world of TV and films, then installing it into the world of theatre – you’re there doing it with your friends in real time, right in front of you. That’s super interesting for me.”The films are directly followed by a question and answer discussion in the David Lean bar with representatives from Croydon Council, NHS Croydon CCG and Ekanem Hines, writer and director of So you think I’m crazy. They will explore the stigma of mental health and the challenges of accessing services and care. Fisher describes AREA15, an experiential art and entertainment complex, as “an imagination box”. Highlights include a Japanese maple tree and canopy with more than 5,000 LED lights. There is also an immersive audio and visual experience inside a 360-degree projection-mapped room. Our focus on mental health and well-being aims to extend throughout our production processes to support our performers, team members, and audiences. We take Salvador Dalí’s own interest in science and technology to revolutionize the museum experience. To make his paintings, Dalí invented a way of waking himself from his dreams and then drawing what had passed through his mind. We wondered, how can we give people direct access to their dreams like this?” Immersive theatre experiences Two live stage performances of So you think I’m crazy, performed by the Know My Mind Theatre Company, will take place at Matthews Yard on Saturday 13 October.

Tapping into the collective energy of the moment,it depicts a world where humans are enslaved by algorithms – asking can we break free? And do we even want to?Throughout the 6 weekly sessions, we’ll give you helpful tips and advice on how to approach financial matters in a calmer and more knowledgeable way. We’ll look at budgeting tips, savings, income, spending, fraud and how to avoid unnecessary debt. The group will allow you to discuss your financial worries in a safe and friendly environment, gaining valuable knowledge on how to manage your money more effectively. Our vision is to work in an arts sector where there is equal opportunity for performers with learning disabilities: a world where performers are trained, respected and employed equally, and feature every day on our stages and screens. Netflix’s biggest brand, Stranger Things, is also inspiring LBE experiences. An attraction in the ǝpᴉsdn uʍop has been in locations including London, New York and San Francisco. Stranger Things: The Experience brings to life iconic locations in Hawkins.
