I think that this book is a great book for kids who are entering a contest because it teaches them to stick with it and keeping trying your hardest. I also really liked that Jamie learned a lesson about his attitude and the way he treats people because sometimes fame got to him and he wasn't so nice to those who loved him. In this episode Jamie is off to Hollywood to take part in the national finals of the Planet’s Funniest Kid Comic Competition, having won various local and national heats along the way. Billy Plimpton took to the stage and captivated the crowd at the triumphant ending to The Boy Who Made Everyone Laugh, and in the sequel, he’s going to go viral.

Jamie has entered the planet’s funniest kids comic contest and is through to part one of the finals. Him and his friends become less trustworthy or Jamies friends don't like Jamie later on because of his ego being inflated by the comedy contest. I don't usually find myself laughing at books but this one had me cracking up quite a few times actually. The trilogy is about Jamie in school and competing in various contests to try to prove he is the Planet's Funniest Kid Comic.His friends are upset he isn’t around as much anymore and his family worry the fame is going to his head. Now he is ready to leave for Hollywood, but the contest is postponed because Hurricane Sam blows through Jamie’s town.
