The JOYO CAB BOX has many parameters to adjust, a large display screen, easy control buttons and sits nicely on the pedalboard. JOYO CAB BOX has more interface, much bigger screen with more buttons compared with rival’s similar products, it’s quite user-friendly. I'm less convinced by the mic sims: they appear to be mere EQing variations and the related settings have a rather subtle effect at first glance.

Look, I know that it is makred down as a cabinet sim and a IR loader, but I'm really confused about the "power amp" section and some people say you need a preamp and whatever. If you’ve ever played one of these big amps, or are a fan of the tone you will feel right at home with the Golden Face, its a classic British Amp simulator. But this box also lets you load up 10 of your favourite Impulse Responses at any one time to expand the sounds available. Ability connect to the PC through the USB, and use the matching software to edit tones and update firmware, load or delete third party IRs, supports both Windows/Mac OS. I then tested all my pedals and none of them produce a similar noise, only more or less noise floor.Please, note that the 6V6 and EL84 pics are imperfect comparisons since they involve "whole" amps (excited from guitar inputs to loudspeaker output) while the IR loaders model only a tube power section. I just tested mine, and I can say it's definitely got some bus noise, and I think just about any digital pedal will have some.

The simple controls quickly get into your blood, and you can rely on the solid chassis for gigging situations, where you'll also benefit from two durable switches for quick control of most functions. Even the Line6 "Allure" pack doesn't beat the onboard Joyo IR's to my ears once loaded in the Cab Box. No insert loop pre-XLR oiutput, you can still process the 1/4” output with reverb/modulation and then drive a basic direct box but no way to put reverb after the sim when using the XLR output.
