On the "My Stuff" screen, tap the Videos tab at the top of the screen, tap the trash can, highlight the videos you wish to delete, then tap the check mark to confirm. You complete various mini tasks to help other characters prepare for the surprise party they are throwing for Minnie. All they will see is a cool gadget and fun games featuring some of their favourite characters, plus lots of new ones. In true toddler fashion, Molly splashed a drink all over the screen after a few days – I jumped into action with a wipe and had no trouble cleaning it right up. Available in either pink or green, this handheld device similar to a tablet computer, is the latest model in the LeapPad series.

My girls love naming their pet, playing games to wash and feed him, decorating his home and giving him toys to play with.Personally, this isn’t something I wanted my children to use, so it is another reason why I opted to disable wifi via the parental controls settings. Your child cannot access anything inappropriate, you don’t have to worry about setting filters or them stumbling upon anything dodgy. My youngest child is 7 and I did not realize that they had products that would suit him when I was asked to review the LeapPad 3. I found it easy to hear the accompanying audio which is attached to each section of an app or game and there’s a handy volume control button on the bottom right hand side of the LeapPad 3.

We’ve been trying out the LeapFrog LeapPad 3 for kids and it’s an amazing introduction to tablets for children. I chose to disable the wifi on our LeapPad3, as I didn’t want the kids using the tablet for watching videos – I wanted it to be a learning tool. With the snow largely cutting us off from the outside world for a few days I’ve been super grateful to have another weapon in my arsenal of at-home entertainment for my toddler. Children can access over 700 games and apps through the LeapFrog library, all of which have been designed or approved by educational experts. For my son, the best pre-loaded app was without doubt the Pet Pad Party – which allows children to create their own cute monkey, dog, cat, penguin, unicorn or other pet, give it a name, colour and play a series of games with their new pal.Disclosure: We were sent a LeapPad 3 to review as part of our LeapFrog ambassadorship and for the purpose of this post. Another WiFi feature is Pet Chat – This allows LeapPad3 users to send messages to each other (like texting) via wifi.

I love there that there are such a huge range of games, music and audio books available for children up to 12 years old. The game encouraged him to use problem-solving skills to help Doc treat toy patients and learn health lessons. Aside from my little niggles the LeapPad 3 from LeapFrog is a very worthwhile educational tool where children not only play and have fun but learn while they are doing it, or as my young niece says it’s fantastic!

Now, the brand has not only updated the LeapPad several times to a tablet that’s almost unrecognisable from its early days, but added products including the Tag and LeapReader reading systems and cuddly learning toy My Pal Scout. I'm loving the idea of being able to 'tweak' settings on the Leappad to encourage your child to practice specific skills (although we don't currently own any games that support this).
