Not really why it goes so high now from what I can tell it is well liked but doesn't do anything for me.This kit is an absolute must for any Star Wars collector and an instant army builder, especially when combined with a few of the 7654 Droid Battle Packs. Open its hatches and extend the secret storage rack to deploy a legion of battle droids, armed and ready to fight. There is a Pilot Droid to drive and the back has the capacity to fit any of the modules with the kit. The main pilot control section, Droid racks, weapons rack and navigation pack can all be placed on the rear part of the carrier allowing you to put whatever you want on it.

This is probably THE BEST SW set I own, it's sturdy, sleek, realistic (it really look like the movie thing! The two shelf's can come off easily (you'll see how this works in a minute), and can fit eight battle droids on each shelf.It's not that fragile, IMHO, but I would have to agree with you on the playability part- you can't do anything with it.

Although I am not a Star Wars fan, I can see the attraction of this kit to young (and old) Star Wars fans, as it is a good replica from the films. Use it as a guide to the contents of the set, or to find out part numbers when requesting replacements. I must say that this is a good design, and the inclusion of two extra blaster rifles was very kind of TLG.In the back of the cockpit lies a small emergency escape hatch, in case the pilot can't get out the other ways. The Trade Federation MTT has 1326 pieces and is ranked 411 on the list of biggest LEGO sets ever made. This set portrays the Trade Federation's Invasion of Naboo using a large compliments of MTTs or "Multi-Troop Transports" that carried large numbers of Battle Droids to battle. I know it's hard to see in this pic, but it contains a chair for the pilot, a control panel, and secret to be revealed, all in good time. Build: 7/10, to be honest, I really thought building the MTT itself was quite boring, although the pace picks up later.

that's really interesting for someone who wants to build a droid army , plus I think this set is really cool , lots of functionality and this little transport is nice, 10/10 ! Again with the new licence agreement a lot of the larger retired ships are bound to come around again as Lego like to produce 30ish SW models a year and mix up the six films. The rear ones allow access to the vehicle bay and the forward ones allow access to the droids and weapons storage racks. IF you don't want the MTT, you can always take it apart for all of the useful brown pieces for your forest MOCs (or whatever you use them for) , and you'll have 20 great battle droids leftover.
