Description

As the world's first ever Indian whisky distillers to garner international acclaim, Amrut pride themselves in making world-class whiskies. Made by mixing unpeated Indian barley with peated Scottish barley in the mashbill and bottled at a no-nonsense 50%, Amrut Fusion was a sensation when it first appeared in 2009 and remains a top class mix of deliciously clean barley and fruity notes with a strong peaty undertone. According to Indian Mythology, when Gods and Rakshasas - the demons - churned the oceans using the mountain Meru as churner, a golden pot sprang out containing the Elixir of Life.
