November 2023) 33 tracks with only Kate Bush and Lil Louis missing, although Lil Louis was just a bonus track on the original CD version and did not appear on the vinyl and magnetic cassette versions. Perhaps I’m being too critical given what was available to choose from during this time period, but definitely having the most talked about song of the moment by Ed Sheeran excluded for a second time (following its eligibility for Now 96) meant that this volume just lacked that spark, and there aren’t too many fond memories of this era for me, however, it is a better score given than the last volume. The latter contains a new retro-70s Now logo design and artwork which complements its 80s sister Yearbook series. Some of them have unique track listings and are not related to similarly themed collections already issued on compact disc, however, more recent releases have been 'selections' taken from a larger CD collection (Rock, for example). The only glitch that I do not approve is the inclusion of the CLEAN versions, as I find this totally unnecessary.

Drake was also overlooked along with omissions from Charlie Puth, Captain SKA, Imagine Dragons, Major Lazer, ZAYN and others. or Now 97 is a double-disc compilation album released in the United Kingdom and Ireland on 21st July 2017. The 4-CD series follows the same general format of the original Special Editions series, with genre, era, and decade collections, but over four compact discs (there is also an abridged vinyl version of Punk and New Wave and Rock), meaning they contain more tracks than the original special editions, but fewer than the Now 100 Hits, which preceded this series. From 2003, and until 2010, there was one special edition released each year, covering a decade (80s, 90s and 00s), or a cross section of big hits celebrating the Now series ( Now Decades, Now Years, Now Dance) - however, from 2011, they became much more frequent, and in 2017, there were fifteen different titles released. Towards the end of the series, 3-CD digipak sets were issued, but in 2010, the long-running title was retired, and all subsequent dance-themed Now collections have been issued under the Special Editions series.Originally, the series captured extended 12" mixes of dance hits of the time, but from 1991 onwards, all Now Dance compilations featured 7" edits with only occasional extended versions or mixes included. or Now 97 is a double-disc compilation album that was released in the United Kingdom on 21 July 2017 on CD and downloadable formats. Most though, like the British band Oasis and the US group Maroon 5, because of perceived political statements, rather than on the grounds of bad behaviour. The setting of an island is always a good idea for a Summer themed volume, and the sunny palm trees, coupled with overhead planes and water boats made it the perfect holiday themed cover. Another strand of the Now Yearbook series, in August 2022, is the somewhat experimental release of a limited edition, extended play, 7" vinyl single, containing 2 tracks each from the 1983 and 1984 Yearbooks.

I've been a fan since I won Now 31 on radio one a few years ago and have now passed on my love of them to my children. Due to Ed Sheeran being included on the previous volume, Now 96, it was a big omission to still not see Shape Of You get included despite its mammoth success. The original Now Dance series began in 1985 and has been released in a variety of titles, formats, and release frequency. The term Various Artists is used in the record industry when numerous singers and musicians collaborate on a song or collection of songs. The tie-in television programmes are a month by month video playlist of tracks, from one year previously featured on a Now Yearbook album, with Bruno Brookes presenting. Quavo also appears three times (twice as a soloist and once as part of Migos), while Katy Perry, Little Mix and Demi Lovato appear twice.
