About this deal

Within a year of self-publishing her first book, Jill Ramsower quit her job as an attorney and dedicated her days to churning out romantic adventures. She likes to think of her books as contemporary romance with a touch of fantasy--at its core, her writing is about the connection between two people. Sometimes that connection involves a little magic...

Mafia isn’t a huge part of this novella. There’s nothing even remotely dangerous or violent here, besides talks of the past and current events that don’t seem to have any effect on them.I find I get to a certain point in a book and become ready for it to end, but with Silent Vows, it could have went on and on...and I would have gladly kept reading!" -Amity, Netgalley Once you accept the sudden feelings, though, you’ll watch them share meaningful moments and learn more about each other–at least Bishop learning more about Pippa. Pippa is so far in denial that Bishop is the only one really fighting for them and make efforts. Even cute ones, like the conversation he’s supposed to have had with Pippa’s father. Conner's inner dialogue about Noemi and his feeling towards her was unbelievable or not how any man would describe a woman. I would have run away if things had been that simple, but they never were. The issue was my younger brother. I couldn’t leave him behind, but getting him to come with me would be a challenge. He idolized my father. Always had. Even if Dad allowed us to be alone together unobserved, convincing Sante would be a monumental task. The dilemma plagued me every single day. I’d been biding my time for the right opportunity, but after six months of constant supervision, I was growing more worried by the day that my chance would never come. These two were a bit angsty but there was not much tension beyond the fact he wanted to know why she faked losing her voice and why she was afraid of her father.

I am always trash for a Mafia Arranged Marriage. It usually has built in Enemies to Lovers and great smexy chemistry. Silent Vows had all of that in spades and add in a sprinkle of Age Gap and some "Who Hurt You?" vibes and I am SOLD. Every since reading Silent Vows, book one in the Byrne Brothers Series, I have been intrigued by Bishop. This novella (#1.5) between books one and two tells Bishop's story. Have to say, I was not disappointed. Where Bishop intrigued me before, I fell in love in this story. Noemi's mother was killed 6 months before the start of this book and the person who killed her? Her own father. Why? She knew something about his devious plans (aka wanted to murder the leader and his brother-in-law to get power). Noemi was not supposed to be in the same car at all but her mother confessed everything when she knew they were in danger which resulted in Noemi faking silence and tell the world she lost her voice. When we first met Conner Reid at the end of Perfect Enemies I was hoping he’d get his own book and this author did not disappoint me. Silent Vows is the story of an arranged marriage between the Irish mob and the mafia with Conner entering a marriage of convenience with Noemi, daughter of a Capo to strengthen ties between the families. Noemi has been silent for six months since the death of her mother but something about her photograph intrigues Conner and after meeting her, he realises that she’s not the traumatised girl everyone keeps telling him she is. Noemi has secrets and he’s determined to uncover each and every last one of them. Thanks so much to Jill Ramsower and The Next Step PR for the eARC, all opinions expressed are my own. She did it in book 1 hyping me up for kier and now she’s doing this for Torin and I’m sooo exited for his book!!! 🤭 I’m in love with how keir gave her all the love and reassurance to let her scream out for the first time in her life 🥹 (he was so generous. Making her scream in other ways too)

The chemistry between the characters is instant. I realllllly liked Keir’s character, even more than Connor from book 1. His drive for his own truths is great. His easy relationship/friendship/protectiveness that blooms from just being around Rowan. For some reason, waitresses LOVE to touch Conner, and Noemi gets extremely jealous. I have never personally been touched or seen anyone touched by the wait staff at a restaurant. But this happens every time they go out. This is an unbelievable situation that is only there to further the romantic plot.

Publication Order of Of Myth and Man Books

I should mention that Noemi is Italian and Conner our MMC is Irish, and they do not mix. However, he was adopted and finds out his birth mother is Italian, so they decide this is the perfect chance to combine forces. That results in the arranged marriage between Conner and Noemi.
