Bottom line, I will scream from the rooftops to read this book if I have to. It can be read as a standalone but I personally think that to really get to know Santiago you should start with the previous books. Which are all amazing as well so it's definitely not a hardship to read those before starting this one.

Being the heir to his family’s media empire, Declan is the CEO of a major legacy, but his grandfather’s will stipulates that he must marry and have an heir of his own. His assistant Iris then volunteers for the job, and the position seems simple at first; get married and have a baby together. They’re not supposed to fall in love, that is until a passion between them both begins to grow, one that they desperately try to fight off. Will they both end up together finally, is Declan going to continue his family’s legacy, and just what are the terms and conditions? I loved the way healing and trauma was represented and how they both helped each other in that process. It was not just mentioned for the sake of making this a sad story but there was actual focus on Santiago's journey and how he gained his confidence and how Chloe and Noah helped him healed mentally and physically. I loved that he did it and made those decisions for himself and for his future.

He lets out a rough laugh— one that fills my heart with a warmth I want to trap there. One I want to bring out of him every day until he grows comfortable with happiness and optimism. One I wouldn’t mind being the reason for every single day." These books aren’t just a romance they’re a journey, and each have had different obstacles and destinations, but it just makes the read all the sweeter. First, Santi and Chloe won my heart. Hate to say it but this is my favourite out the series. They start off as a fake relationship and one thing leads to another and as time goes by obviously things change. There was something innocent like or pure in the way this couple navigated everything. And I don’t mean that in a naive way or anything like that but just that they were a breath of fresh air. I didn’t even need to make a wish for it to come true. All I needed was Santiago—a man set on proving the magic isn’t the wish itself, but the people who make the dream come true.” Side Note The book is really long (well for me it was) and because of that I felt like some scenes were being dragged. And then towards the end I was hoping we could have gotten a little MORE insight on Jax & Elena's life way ahead in the future, maybe 6-10 years, how it was in Collided. Like how they have been coping up with everything after so many years. What are they doing now etc etc. He is hot, a F1 racer, has a hot name, he cooks, plays guitar, he babysits, he blushes for his girl and he's grumpy and he can also be so sweet sometimes. My kind of kryptonite. I was heartbroken everytime he denied that he couldn't become the racer he was. He secluded himself from the world and he was lonely everyday for 3 years. It was painful to see him go through all that. But I loved how he tried to be better for himself and for the future he wanted with Chloe. Man was so rich that he had SIXTEEN BEDROOMS IN HIS GOTHIC MANSION!?!? I loved that Santi isn't like other MMCs written by Lauren. He did liked Chloe and was attracted towards her but atleast he wasn't lusting after her like the other MMCs in this series. Santiago raised my standards to another level because he recreated Chloe's favourite scene from her favourite movie 😭😭, embroidered her a gift, wrote a letter and even gave her a bouquet of wildflowers!?!??! And you are telling me that SANTIAGO ALATORRE IS FICTIONAL!??! He is the definition of perfect book husband.

The melody wraps around us as I play the song for her again. When I get to the second chorus, I amp it up, adding more notes. My fingers dance across the keys as Elena watches me. Below is a quote his mom says about something her husband told her when she first tested positive for the gene make up that meant she would get Huntington’s later in life:Lauren Asher truly is an amazing writer! The way she wrote this story was beautiful. I loved Jax and Elena. My heart is with them. I think Liam is still my favorite Dirty Air boy though, however I think this is my favorite book, definitely my favorite story because it was so touching and real. Liam though, he was amazing and he continued to show that amazingness in this book. Seeing him worry and trying to be there for Jax, no matter how much he pushed him way *sigh*. I just legit love this whole gang SOOO much. I love that we get to see so much of everyone in each book. I'm dying for Santi, have been since book 1 but gosh I can't wait to see where Lauren takes his story and to learn who the heroine will be. i loved how chloe pushed santiago to keep going with the thing he loves and never fears of being different and i loved how she accepted him and showed him how he truly deserves to be loved She’s like the moon who shines bright despite the never-ending darkness. And she makes me want to wish that daylight never comes again.”
