Description

If you have a combi boiler, it can take at least a minute for hot water to get to the right temperature. That’s a total wait of 21 hours annually! With a CombiSave however, you can dramatically cut your wait time by as much as 50 percent! Our team of expert engineers, electricians and plumbers can help you identify the limescale and water products you need. They'll visit you at home, chat with you about what you need, and give you a free quote. The flow of water is reduced to between 0.5 – 4 litres/min during the initial heating process – only returning to normal once the designated temperature has been reached (factory set at 45 oC but which can be reduced or increased by 5 o as necessary). It helps to make homes more fuel efficient and offers householders free, impartial advice and support to reduce energy costs. By making some relatively minor design changes we’ve created a robust valve that now works more efficiently in areas of high water pressure over prolonged periods.

BA you go on about low energy lights etc which cost the best part of a tenner each and save pennies, I don't see the difference CombiSave is a valve which help you reduce the amount of water and gas used in the initial heating process, saving you time and money, and helping the environment. Both my wife and I are in our 70’s so of course, as we aren’t in the banking fraternity, we have to spend our money as wisely as possible. We have had a Worcester Highflow combination boiler for 7 years and have always been concerned about how much domestic water we waste when washing up , etc. When the hot tap is turned on, the CombiSave reduces the flow of water until it has reached a set temperature. At this point, the valve opens fully and allows the hot water to flow throughout the system. The CombiSave will save an average of 8 litres of water every time the tap is turned on from cold. And yep, good point about the savings being seasonal on the water savings, I should have thought about that. I’ll continue to monitor over the coming months and into winter to see how the water savings change over the seasons. I guess there is an effect on gas too? but I will not be able to monitor that so easily as the space heating will be on over winter months which interfere with my gas readings.

It follows a successful pilot programme at the end of last year when the valve was installed in homes in the Newport area. Don’t forget though, if you and your wife shower/bathe directly after one another then you will not waste so much as the water is already warm fro the second shower.

Small changes to the internal workings of the device – which include redirecting the flow of water – mean that it now works more efficiently in areas of high water pressure. If you decide to go ahead, our engineers can normally fit it for you on the same day (depending on how busy they are) CombiSave reduces the flow of water when the hot tap is turned on until the water has reached the set temperature, once the water has reached the correct temperature the valve fully opens. In terms of a time saving, well, it hasn’t saved me any time at all in the mornings whilst waiting for the shower to warm up (if I’m first in), it’s still just over a minute’s wait unfortunately. Our team of expert engineers, electricians and plumbers can help you identify the savings and efficiency products you need. They'll visit you at home, chat with you about what you need, and give you a free quote.Heating and plumbing specialists Parr and Evans, which has more than 25 years of experience of providing heating systems to people in the Bristol area, now advise most customers – where appropriate – to fit a CombiSave. If you've got a combi boiler, it can take up to a minute for your hot water to get to the right temperature – that's a wait of around 21 hours a year! With a CombiSave, you'll cut your wait time by up to 50%. On average, it takes around 30 seconds fewer for the hot water to get to your taps. You'll notice an increase in flow once the water heats up, but don't worry, your taps won't suddenly start bursting with hot water. How can I get a CombiSave?
