Research conferences are by character such openings, until they are given content by contributing researchers. Looking to the number and seriousness of current and emerging societal and environmental challenges there is a need for allowing many undirected thoughts and research results to communicated and discussed. Nordes 2023 intends to be such a place. A conference shaped by the research results, avenues, strategies and concerns of its community.

Current-day production of electronics requires implementing a variety of diverse processes and technologies and adjusting to the individual needs of every client. In EMS production it is important to offer a complexity of services meaning a wide specter of services and working with simple and complex projects. Nordes, as a contract electronics manufacturer, offers end-to-end services: starting with production of PCB boards, SMT and THT assembly, coating, testing and final assembly including box-building and logistics. Nordes is dynamically developing and offers a variety of complex services: EoT – Electronics of Tomorrow which take place 9-11 May 2023 in MCH Messecenter Herning, stand number M9834. The base spirit is distilled from locally grown Albariño (or Cainho Branco) grapes. The wine from the grapes is bright, almost botanical just on its own, and wine-aficionados compare it favorable to Gerwurtztraminer. Food and Wine magazine one suggested it might be “the next great summer wine” (Rieslings be on guard!). While the wines are a particular specialty of Galicia, Albariños are still more uncommon, making this gin a unique specimen before you get to the botanicals. A textbook example of superb Spanish gin, Nordés Gin is distilled at the Atlantic Galician Spirits Distillery in Vedra, close to Santiago de Compostela, using a host of natural botanical elements. Among the fourteen used are liquorice, eucalyptus, caralleira grass, salicornia, tea, cardamom, quinine, ginger and juniper - six of which are are harvested from Galician, before Albariño grape spirit, made from the Spanish white wine grape, is added, giving Nordés a truly singular profile that’s rooted in provenance.At the beginning of 2023 Nordes was joined by an expert in electromechanics and electronics – Kim Engmark, who also is a great manager with plenty of expertise in personnel and production management. Kim is responsible for Nordes’s expansion and providing customer service in Denmark. Kim gained his experience working previously for: Berendsen, Eltech, Finder or Alpha Elektronik, among others. Nordés isn’t a traditional gin, by any means. Given it’s not particularly juniper-forward, it’s probably not one for some purists. For me, however, it tastes absolutely delicious and is ideal for those looking for a contemporary gin, or something for those new to the category to try. And yes, the botanicals do include a familiar surprise, the seemingly fashionable Sea bean or Marsh Samphire. in addition to Australian inspired surprises like Eucalyptus. Tasting Notes

Given that the biggest drinkers of gin in Europe are the Spanish, it is perhaps not surprising that there a number of excellent gin distillers currently in production all across España. Nordés are one such brand, one that takes its name from the eponymous mythical northerly Atlantic wind which blows through Galicia and is thought to bring good weather and, supposedly, good wishes. Increasing added value for the client – complex solutions which go beyond simple production include whole creation of the product starting with technical and business advice, designing, prototyping, programing and finishing with serial production and testing;

Based on the dynamic changes in the EMS market Nordes focuses on complex approach to services which include among others: Exciting changes are in store for Nordes Surfhouse in the 2023 season. Out of the picture is Manu, a founding partner, allowing Adrian – a local surfer and area expert –to take charge. With Adrian at the helm, Nordes Surfhouse is honing in on creating a more intimately personalized experience for guests. By focusing on a smaller group size, guests can enjoy an increased level of attention and connectedness within the community. The transformations don’t conclude there. Nordes Surfhouse is undergoing a renovation of its accommodation choices, providing a variety of options that cater to solo adventurers, families, and collections of companions. Nordes Surfhouse has something for everyone, from warm private quarters to extensive suites. With limited group sizes, visitors can anticipate a more intimate and personal vibe that emulates the sensation of being at home. The nose of Nordés Atlantic Galician Gin is bright with sweetly floral aromas, a bit like a perfumed guest soap or potpourri. Fruit wine, hints of peach and rose with smatterings of rainbow sherbet and raspberries. There’s a lot of intriguing moments in the nose, but it’s perhaps a bit too much. But, wow. I have no idea what this is going to taste like!

Designing and engineering – adjusting the device to customer’s needs, designing PCB boards, choosing proper components Nordes – Nordic Design Research – is a network of people interested in design research and participating in the Nordes conferences, the Nordes Summer schools or other Nordes activities. Nordes is an open network that started with the first Nordic Design Research Conference in Copenhagen 2005. In addition to organising the bi-annual Nordes conferences and Summer schools Nordes promotes the publication and dissemination of design research through the Nordes Digital Archive. by entrepreneurs Juan Luis Méndez, José Ángel Albela, and award-winning sommelier Xoan Cannas in 2012. On food pairings, Brand spokesperson Maarten Van Dam said: “Unusually the soul of our gin comes from Albariño grapes, then we have layered flavours and essences which form the foundations of Galician cuisine and brought them together in Nordés, creating a uniquely flavoured Spanish gin. It’s highly aromatic and [its] fresh taste means it makes some amazing pairings with traditional Galician tapas and savoury dishes from around the world. But, perhaps more surprisingly, it’s also a great match with dessert too.”

In Nordes’s machinery park found in Wroclaw, Poland an installation and implementation of new machine for selective soldering has just ended. Selective soldering is based on dosing the solder only on specifically marked assembly fields. Such coating increases precision and the process becomes repetitive. The heat that occurs during soldering is channeled only to designed solder points which enables creation of reliable connections while keeping safety and quality of the connections. In that, during assembly, the PCB boards are exposed to less heat load which affects their durability in a positive way. The selective soldering machine is distinguished by absolute precision and efficiency, temperature choice, automatic soldering process and innovative computer controlling and compatibility to operate with a variety of PCB boards including one-sided boards, double-sided boards, and multi-sided boards.
