Mousepad designs can get pretty wild, and while some of the bigger brands offer a limited amount of customization (such as adding your gamertag to an existing design) we find InkedGaming to be one of the best brands to look out for if you want a completely custom designed mousepad. On the G-SR II, the humidity issues have been dropped down to just a mild annoyance rather than a full-blown performance limiter, so that’s definitely nice to see.

All of the pads in this article are going to be doing exactly what they need to do when it comes to sensor performance and what not so it’s mainly a job of figuring out what suits you. For reference: the VAXEE PA has a very similar X/Y difference, so if you can handle that then you won’t have any issues with the G-SR II. Can't comment on build quality of course, but in the 3 weeks I've been using the pad consistently for several hours a day, I've not noticed any slowdown between the center and the edges.

it’s definitely not as expensive as some of the premium pads that I’ve been reviewing in recent times, but it’s not exactly cheap for a mousepad either. It’s a medium thickness (3mm) pad with stitched edges and a rubber base so that it never moves around when you’re swiping around. If you want a completely custom-designed mousepad then the InkedGaming mousepads are a great choice.This is a good option for people who have an uneven desk, and for people who like to game away from their own desk a lot. It’s a highly specialized product, and certainly not for everyone, but not every product needs to be.

Luckily for us, it seems that the engineers at Zowie listened to our complaints; The new G-SR-SE Rouge promises several improvements over the previous iteration of the pad, including enhanced durability, greater humidity resistance, a smoother surface, and faster glide whilst still refusing to compensate on stopping power. I suppose that’s part of the reason why ZOWIE are going for these types of designs, but I do wish they’d also release some more subtle designs, or even a plain black version. This can be handy for when you’re aiming at very small objects or when you’re spraying, for example.Using this pad for gaming has been a fantastic experience, and as someone who likes control pads this will no doubt be my main mousepad for the foreseeable future. This is great news for LAN gaming enthusiasts, as it’ll cover up all but the most insanely uneven surfaces so that you don’t have to worry about anything when gaming away from your home, but not everyone will love the feeling that this kind of height on a pad gives you.
