The Appellant had not said anything that was in fact untruthful. He still does not know whether his father was in fact a member of the Muslim Brotherhood or whether that was the reason why the Egyptian authorities arrested and detained him. Nor does he know whether they will take a similar interest in him if he is returned to Egypt. His evidence was to the effect that that is his fear and that fear is well-founded. When the UT concluded that he had not been truthful, what it meant in substance was that it did not accept that his fear was indeed well-founded. But that has nothing to do with the Appellant's credibility; it is simply an expression of the conclusion that his claim for asylum is not made out.
