Fancy joining in the fun? Make sure you register online prior to the event. You’ll be sent a secret link to the interactive treasure trail map at 10AM on the morning of the event, so make sure your smartphone’s charged, you’ve got a 3G signal and petrol in the tank, raring to go! With over 300 acres of the museum to explore, including a town, pit village, colliery, farm and train station - there’s plenty to see and do. Visitors can take part in the the Easter egg trail, hunting for eggs all around the museum. There’s also the chance to get crafty, making your own Easter bonnet in the museum’s school - as well as egg dying in the Old Hall. Alongside the main attractions, DairyLand Farm World will also be running special Easter events between the 14th and 17th April - including their famous Easter egg hunt. Kids can hunt for chocolate treats and explore the park on their Easter trail. There’s also a craft workshop, where you can have a go at making and decorating your very own bunny basket to carry your eggs.
